Today we kick off our new blog webisode series, “Design Diaries.” We will be occasionally videotaping our interior design projects at different stages, interviewing intriguing people related to design, or just showing you other fun events we are involved in!
For our first webisode, what a thrill to have an interview with Shaun Osher, the CEO and Founder of CORE Real Estate during a recent trip to New York City! HGTV’s hit “Selling New York” has become my favorite show on television. In its second season, it follows three of Manhattan’s top real estate brokerages, along with their fabulous pricey listings and interesting clients. Shaun became my favorite on the show, with his visionary business acumen, his intriguing demeanor, and of course his fascinating South African accent! To me, he is the epitome of a successful businessman, leading one of the best real estate firms in the country. Thanks to Shaun and “Selling New York” my husband and I now CRAVE a chic Manhattan apartment of our own!!
CORE (which stands for Cayre Osher Real Estate), which Shaun and partner Jack Cayre founded in 2005, has 48 agents with over 115 listings. Shaun has built the brand with a focus on cutting edge technology, aesthetics, attention to detail, and integrity.
Shaun and his team were so gracious to allow Eric Miller, our Director of Communications, our camera crew, and me into his high profile Chelsea office. We were able to spend a lot of time there, even witnessing a birthday celebration for one of the agents. The CORE office has a cool downtown vibe, very tasteful contemporary white interiors, and of course a focal wall showcasing some of their prestigious listings. Shaun himself handpicked the furnishings, and as an interior designer, I feel he did an amazing job!
I hope you enjoy this video, highlighting a few of the more design oriented questions. We will have a follow-up “behind the scenes” post next week, showing you some footage, along with some more questions and answers.
A BIG thank you to Shaun Osher and the entire CORE staff for making us feel so welcome! It was truly a fun afternoon! (And perhaps one day, CORE will be assisting my husband and I in purchasing a Manhattan apartment of our own……?! A girl can dream….)
