Christmas Tree | Decorations | Decor | Desserts
It’s a tradition that’s as old as time. We do it every year, each of us in our own little way. It’s time to bring in the Christmas tree and decorate it in the most outlandish fashion. We all have our own ideas on how it should be done, and today we would like to share with you a few slightly unconventional ways to decorate in hopes of inspiring you this season.
Your tree should reflect your style, whether you want to overload it with trinkets and accessories or go bare and feature none at all. I think the “less is more” look is slowly starting to become my favorite, though it may be credited to my limited stash of ornaments this year. I must admit, the tree of wall art certainly caught my eye and held my attention.
Take a look at these holiday treats. What’s my favorite part about them? They’re all so easy to make and put together! Tis the season to be busy as it seems that time is something we never have enough of. These treats, all shaped as Christmas trees, can be made on the fly and would be a great addition to any holiday party.
This year will be my first year not having a tree, well at least not in the traditional sense anyways, I plan to get creative and make my own instead. Take a look at these ideas on how you can make your own unconventional tree. You don’t even have to worry about sweeping up this year, you can just peel and paste your tree onto the wall with a fun decal, or try bending one out of metal wire.
Anyone can buy ornaments, but it’s just so much more fun when you design them yourself! For a couple of bucks at the dollar store you can purchase your own clear ornaments and jazz them up however you choose. Stuff them with paint and get them to match your décor or include fun little inserts to add a punch of personality and a touch of whimsy.
When it comes to your tree, it’s not always so much as what’s on it as what’s under it. With the right wrapping paper, you can make any of your gift receivers fall in love with your present before they even open the box. Using ordinary materials from around the house, you can stylishly wrap your boxes. The photographed gifts are my favorite!
My childhood wouldn’t be complete without the memories of my siblings and I sitting around and making our own little ornaments to hang on the tree. Here are a few cool ways that you and your little one can create a one of a kind ornament while making new memories to cherish.
