Albert Hadley, High Society’s Decorator, Dies at 91
In case you missed it, our industry recently lost a true great, Albert Hadley, who passed away at the age of 91. His influence was wide, reflected in the work of Bunny Williams, Thomas Jayne, Mariette Himes Gomez and David Easton, who studied or worked with him.
A quick read breaking down the top 100 interior design “giants” or companies for 2012. My only question is “what recession?!” It finally looks like we are beginning to see a market recovery especially in the commercial sector. Quick article snippet, “The first surprise: These Giants took in 14 percent more in design fees than predicted in the previous survey, grossing $2.4 billion, most since 2008 and a 10 percent jump from the last reporting period.” Oh and be sure to check out the project images for each giant…Good stuff!!
Design Leadership Summit, Marrakech

Not sure of your position regarding LEED certified buildings. Whether you care or not?!…I will save you the time in reading the article..The state with the most LEED certified buidlings is Colorado. Not a huge shocker here. My only question is where is Florida?! Exactly…
Houzz Proud? I’m Sure They Are!
Interesting article on how the popular home resource website, Houzz, was formed. While we LOVE the look of the site, it is hard to imagine it being a decent lead generation tool for the architectural/interior design community.
