Over the weekend, my friend Ashlee and I decided to meet up in New Orleans, Louisiana for a fun weekend in a new city. She picked me up from the airport and our awesome design friend Maggie Overby served as the perfect tour guide, full of local knowledge! Right away we had to hit up some authentic New Orleans cuisine, and when I say that I mean we went to the nearest Mexican restaurant to take out our lack of breakfast on. Once we couldn’t possibly eat anymore, we decided to walk off some mexicana by hitting up the shops on Magazine street which was beyond awesome. There were so many great furniture/design/antique stores lining each side of the street, making for a fun afternoon. Later on, we had to hit up the French Market and Bourbon Street to experience some of New Orleans’ must-see landmarks, places to go, and (of course) daiquiris!

Overall, this past weekend was full of art, fun, and food: a perfect place for the creative mind! And get excited, because next week I’ll be sharing New Orleans art and interior design, which was so overwhelming and grandiose that it just couldn’t be contained in one post. Stay tuned! ;)
