Masculine Design
By: Eric Miller
Dark and warm interiors. Very masculine while also cozy… I have always been attracted to rooms with a little bit more warmth. In fact, I recently renovated my office and choose *Blue Note* from Benjamin Moore (2129-30). This navy-esque paint color was the perfect compliment to the classical white trim around my doors and windows. Talk about pop! I also decided to paint the ceiling a *Deep Silver* which was also a Benjamin Moore product (2124-30)…It came out looking GREAT (photos to come)!
Since I wanted my new office to look masculine aka man-cave, I derived much of my inspiration from Scot Meacham Wood, a brilliant designer from who LA and also the founder of SMW Designs. He not only understands masculine design but executes it perfectly in both his design and personal style. So if you too are looking for a masculine interior you would be silly not to peek at Scot’s Pinterest board titled Dark.Sexy. Also, be sure to check out his website and follow him on Twitter as he is not only a wealth of design knowledge but is hilarious too!
For those of you who aren’t quite on the Pinterest train yet (your missing out), I have included a few photos (above + below) that inspired my new office digs! Thanks again Scot for sharing your design inspiration with the world!!
