Bling (or Bling-Bling)

The definition of “Bling” according to Urban Dictionary (my fav) is flashy or gaudy jewelry, named for the sound generated when worn. Some may think that gaudy isn’t a good thing, but I personally enjoy anything that sparkles, no matter how overdone it may be. Most outfits deserve some bling bling, but not an excess amount in ones everyday threads. For most, a wedding ring and some diamond earrings is the perfect combo for any and every outfit. Then, when there is a special occasion, if you love to shine, you can pack on the glitz.

The bling phenomenon is really a fashion staple, including jewels, sequins, glitter, and the many other forms of bling. I personally enjoy a dress made entirely out of sequins (that is me pictured below in an Alice + Olivia rose sequin dress) but for others, just mixing neutrals with a blinged out necklace is daring enough! No matter what your “bling comfort zone” may be, any sparkly addition will surely make you feel like you bling, bling just like a diamond!
