So everyone who knows me knows that I love a Jonathan Adler-inspired happy chic vibe, but as of lately, I’ve been really getting into Kelly Wearstler’s bold and dark (yet still slightly whimsical), glam design. She recently gutted a client’s 1930′s Bel Air home and designed a one of a kind masterpiece, complete with her signature brass, marble, and gold, as well as geometric and animal prints (of course). What I really like about this house is that every room is different, and besides dark tones making an appearance throughout the home, every room has its own unique feel. I absolutely love the geometric pyramid wallcovering in the family room, as well as the mirrored bed for the homeowner’s teenage daughter. The striped vestibule that separates the master baths (his & hers, naturally) adds some drama and makes your eyes want to see more. Wearstler uses her signature brass statues and furniture pieces by Pedro Friedeberg throughout the home, and it’s like seeing her signature stamped in every one of her rooms. Although the dark and glam aesthetic isn’t for everyone, I would totally love to live in this creative and glamorous environment. Heck, I’d even settle just for that entry table. What’s your favorite room in Kelly Wearstler’s chic Bel Air creation?
